About

The Tshepo Institute for the Study of Contemporary Africa is based out of the Office of Research Services at Wilfrid Laurier University in Brantford, Ontario. The Institute is made up of 20 fellows spanning disciplines, departments, and universities. Together, as a collective research institute, they host events, speakers, panel discussions, and share their individual work with the community. Through these initiatives, students and community members have opportunities to get involved, engage, and deepen their understanding of issues affecting and relevant to African countries.
